New Practice Timing:The Chinese Orchestra practice timing have been changed for the coming year, to better align with the new timetable. The
new dates and timings of traning session are shown below.
Every Monday- 2pm to 5.30 pm at AVA room (Combined Orchestra)
Every Friday- 1.30pm to 5pm at Classrooms (Sectional Practice)
Additional Practices for C'est La Vie and SYF:
There will be two major performances coming up early this year, namely C'est La Vie in March and Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) in April. C'est La Vie is a binnial school performance that will involve all our Performing Arts CCAs and will be held at Republic Poly on 12 March 2011. Singapore Youth Festival is a compeition for secondary schools in Singapore to be recongized and awarded for their performance in various CCAs. The SYF performance for our Chinese Orchestra will be held on 19-21 Apeil 2011 (actual date to be confirmed)
To better hone for students' skills and maximise their potential in playing songs for these two upcoming events, there will be additional practices held on selected Saturday mornings till the SYF performance in April. Further notice will be given when the dates of Saturday practices have been confirmed. The first practice will fall on the following date:
29 Jan 2011 - 8.30am to 12pm at Classroom and AVA Theatre (Sectional and Combined practice)
SYF Rehearsal:
There is a SYF Rehearsal session scheduled in early Feburary at Singapore Conferene Hall. This is to allow students to familiarize themselves with the actual performance venue and entry and exit procedures by rehearsaing the songs there. The ate and timing of Rehearsal session is shown below
1st Feb 2011 - 1.45pm-3.30pm at Singapore Conference Hall (SYF Rehearsal)
Note: students will be dismissed from lessons at 12pm and will return to school at about 4.30pm
Activities during practice sessions:
Apart from trainig during the practice sessions, there will be some activities held during the breaks so that students can relax with some refreshments as well as take the opportunity to bond with the other members and celebrate with the festivities together. the activities are

11th Feb 2011 - 3pm-3.45pm Chinese New Year celebration - Lo Hei
18th Feb 2011 - 3pm-3.45pm - BIrthday Celebraton
